Here’s to the future: 1/2 price delivery to Montana State through May 10th!

Tuesday, March 31st, 2009

It’s that time of year again. The snow is starting to melt a little between storms, the robins have returned to our backyards, and college students are looking a bit restless. And who can blame them? That last month of the school year is always the longest.

Another sign of the season is the ringing of the Sweet Pea Bakery phone with
orders for treats for those anxious students. Usually, it’s their parents or significant other wishing to send their love across the miles. And we’re happy to help, sometimes making multiple runs per day to the dorms and offices of MSU.

We’ve always maintained that, whether they know it or not, MSU parents and loved ones are, collectively, our best customer. And this is the time of year we say “thank you” to that group by offering 1/2-price deliveries to MSU students, faculty and staff. Whether you are placing your first order with us, or your fifth, please accept a token of our gratitude with $5 deliveries to your favorite Bobcat. And if they live off campus, don’t worry. Just mention this article to receive the discount.

And, thanks again! We appreciate the business. Next time you’re in town, come visit; we’d love to meet you in person.

Picture perfect: MSU senior photography show and commencement this week.

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

The senior photography students at Montana State University are featuring their work in a show at the Gallatin County fairgrounds on Thursday, May 8th at 6pm. The opening and reception will be held in Exhibit Building 1 and will also feature goodies from local foodies, including Sweet Pea Bakery.

Custom birthday cakes for a pixie party!

Among the talent, you will see photo series from two of our good friends, Casey and Tyler. Casey is working on a commercial portfolio and has been coming in to the bakery this semester to take some amazing pics of Carrie’s desserts to print in book form. It has been fun being involved in that project, and we can’t wait to see her work. By the way, the photo in this article is one from our collection. Casey’s are much nicer!

Tyler is another photographer with work in the senior show, and he just happens to be one of the chefs that makes the food you enjoy at Over the Tapas. His project features aerial photography taken from a small plane canvassing the valleys of southwest Montana. Please come out to show them your support, view a wide variety of photographic styles from young local artists, and enjoy some tasty treats.

On a related note, the Montana State graduation celebration is taking over Bozeman next weekend. If you need a cake or dessert that really says “congratulations,” try a made-from-scratch treat from our bakery. Even if you can’t be here to celebrate, you can still have a tasty reminder of home delivered to them. Call Sweet Pea Bakery at (406) 586-8200 to place an order.
